Oh come on, it's just a drop of soap... people act like it's some huge fountain pen crime. If it makes a scratchy pen write smoother for you, who cares if it's a "myth" or not? It's not like we're doing chemistry experiments here, we're just trying to write. Seems like a weird thing to get worked up about honestly.

What gets me is how this happens everywhere now. People find a simple fix that works for them, and then a whole crowd shows up just to say it's wrong. It's like we can't just trust our own experience anymore. We have to wait for some expert to give us permission to use a drop of soap. Makes you wonder why folks feel the need to turn every little choice into a right or wrong debate. Takes the fun out of things.
