My whole kitchen table is now an ink lab, and my partner is not happy about it.
I hear some alchemists swear by a fixed setup for repeatable results, while others prefer a clean slate after each mix. How do you handle your mixing space at home?

Feel your PAIN, my kitchen counter was a disaster zone.

Have you considered a mobile cart to contain the chaos? I basically lived that same fight after my ink bottles took over the coffee table. My fix was a cheap rolling cart with bins from a discount store. Now all my mixing gear lives on it, and I can shove it into a corner when we need the space back. It’s not a pretty solution, but it stopped the arguments about permanent ink disasters on shared furniture. And honestly, having everything in one spot makes my messy process a bit more repeatable.

That mobile cart to contain the chaos seems extra. Honestly, how much ink are we talking? I keep my mixing to a cheap plastic mat on the table, and it's fine. A little spill never hurt anyone, and my partner chilled out once they saw it cleans up. It's not like we're doing chemistry experiments with permanent stains.
