Rant: I tried mixing ink in a plastic cup versus a glass beaker and the difference was huge.
The cheap cup made the ink look dull and murky, but the glass beaker kept the color bright and true. Anyone have a good source for small, cheap lab glass?

That murky look in the plastic cup is a real thing. I found some plastics can have a slight haze or even a chemical coating that changes how light passes through. For small beakers, I've had good luck with the basic Pyrex brand sold at kitchen supply stores, not just lab sites. They're often cheaper and just as good for ink work.

Totally makes sense. Plastic can really mess with how you see the true color. I ruined a batch of my favorite blue in a yogurt cup once, looked totally different. Glass is the only way to go for real color.
