Am I the only one who thinks sanding between every coat is overkill?
Honestly, it feels like a huge time sink for minimal gain on some projects. Tbh, I only do a light scuff on pieces that don't need a glass-smooth finish.

Same here, I skip it too unless the piece really needs that perfect finish.

My dining table refinish last year changed my mind. A friend told me to skip the between-coat sanding on the final topcoat, and I was nervous, but it saved hours. The finish dried perfectly smooth without all that extra work.
