Showerthought: The barber shop was where we all reviewed gadgets together.
I remember folks arguing over which portable radio had the best sound while waiting for a trim. These days, I just look at online ratings and miss those lively chats. Do you ever get gadget tips from talking to people in your daily life?

Honestly I overheard two guys debating DeWalt vs Milwaukee cordless tools at the hardware store last week. Tbh I ended up buying the Milwaukee drill they recommended and it's way better than the top rated one I saw online. There's just something about a real person showing you the scratches on their old model that makes you trust it. Ngl I miss those random chats too, everything feels so sterile now.

Guess we need a "show me your tool scars" dating app for hardware stores.

Oh man, I totally get that. I used to only trust online reviews, but hearing someone talk about their beat-up old drill actually convinced me to switch brands last year. That real-world proof just hits different.

Actually Milwaukee makes the drill, DeWalt makes the impact driver. The guy at the store had it backwards.
