Can we talk about the old guy at the Portland seed swap who gave me a handful of beans
He just said 'these are the ones that remember the rain' and walked off, and honestly, they grew better than any packet I've bought. Has anyone else gotten seeds with a story like that?

It's just beans, not a magic spell. Old guys at swaps say weird stuff all the time. You probably just got a good batch.

Sometimes old guys know things we don't. That weird stuff comes from years of seeing patterns we might miss. Calling it just a good batch ignores the craft behind it.
