My last three color fixes were all from the same Instagram trend

I keep seeing people try this ash blonde style from their feeds and it never goes right. They grab a box dye and end up with weird orange or green tones in their hair. One person came in yesterday with patches that looked totally fried from a video she watched. Fixing it takes forever and costs them so much extra cash. It's tough because they think they're saving money but really make a bigger problem. We gotta talk more about how these looks work in real life. Honestly, it's a bit of a headache but I'm glad to help them learn.

My friend tried that and her hair turned like, moss colored.

Moss colored hair sounds like something I'd end up with after a DIY dye job. I once tried to go blonde from brown and got a weird green tint that lasted weeks. It looked like I'd been swimming in a pool full of chlorine for too long. Hair dye can be tricky, and without the right steps, you get surprises like moss or swamp water. I had to wear a lot of hats until it faded, which was a whole thing. Now I stick to pros or just accept my natural color to avoid another hair mess.

Oh man, did you have to use a color remover or just wait it out? I had almost the exact same thing happen trying to go ash blonde a few years back. That greenish murky tint is the worst, it just clings to your hair forever. I ended up using a ton of those purple shampoos trying to cancel it out, which just made my hair a weird grayish green. It's enough to make you want to never touch a box dye again.
