Hey folks, we're looking to get a new roof and finally add solar panels to our place in Conroe. Does anyone have recommendations for a company that handles both? I'd really prefer to deal with just one contractor instead of coordinating a roofing crew and a separate solar installer. Residential, but we have a pretty large workshop out back we want tied in too.

Definitely go with a combo company. It's really hard to find a crew that actually knows what they are doing with both roofing and electrical. Make sure whoever you hire pulls all the right county permits, Montgomery county has been cracking down on unpermitted panel installs lately.

We went through this exact same thing last fall! Coordinating two different companies is a nightmare because they always blame each other if there's a leak. We ended up using True Texas Solar and they were fantastic. They did the roof replacement first and then handled the entire solar install right after. Super smooth process.
