My neighbor's whisper-quiet setup changed my whole view on fan curves.

Right, and once you hit 75 degrees, you can ramp up the fans just enough to keep things stable. I found that on my CPU cooler, setting a slow rise from 75 to 85 degrees keeps it quiet but stops thermal throttling. For GPUs, it's similar, but you might need to adjust based on the game. The key is testing in real use, like during a long gaming session. You'll notice the noise stays low until you really push the system. It makes such a difference for everyday use without sacrificing performance.

To get that whisper-quiet setup, set a flat fan curve until your temps hit 75 degrees.
