It struck me that delaying creative work until 'the moment feels right' is a trap.

Contrary to popular advice, I've produced my most meaningful pieces under tight, self-imposed deadlines. Skipping the waiting period forced me to rely on instinct rather than endless deliberation.

Funny how momentum works in creative things... once you start moving, even poorly, the act itself generates the feeling you were waiting for. It's less about the deadline forcing good work and more about it forcing any work, which is the only real catalyst. Waiting for the right moment assumes inspiration strikes in a vacuum, but it usually needs the friction of already being in motion to spark at all.

Yeah, that "moment feels right" trap is everywhere. It's like we're conditioned to believe creativity has to be spontaneous, when really it's often a grind. Deadlines force the real work out.
