Mom's weekend clutter is drowning our tiny house peace

My mom visits every Saturday and leaves a mess of stuff she insists we keep. She BRINGS random items like bulk paper towels or holiday decor that just pile up. Our main room looks like a storage unit by Sunday, and my kids trip over things. I appreciate her help, but the chaos is really getting to my partner and me. What steps can we take to keep visits calm without hurting her feelings? Have any of you set up systems for family gifts in a small space? I'm desperate for tips before our next weekend rolls around.

Remember when my aunt kept bringing knick-knacks until I started a 'donate box' by the door?

Spot this so much with older relatives who show love through stuff. Maybe set a 'one in, one out' rule for her visits. It gently pushes back without a big talk.

Yeah @the_olivia that rule is a good idea. It's not just gifts, I see this with people giving hand-me-downs they think you need too. Makes you feel bad saying no when it comes from a good place. Finding a kind way to set limits is the real trick.
