Hot take: My custom bed frame snapped while I was dreaming of mountain views

I built a lightweight frame to maximize storage underneath, but it couldn't handle my tossing and turning. Woke up on the van floor surrounded by my toolkit and a bag of rice. What's your most laughable design flaw that compromised your comfort?

That bag of rice detail is killing me. Just picturing dry rice kernels mixed with socket wrenches and sawdust at 3 AM. Your subconscious is hiking and your reality is a pantry explosion. How did the rice even survive the initial build. A bed frame failing is one thing but the collateral damage is next level.

Remember when I used plywood for a loft bed? Lasted about a week before I was sleeping on textbooks. Why do we always underestimate weight distribution?

I mean, I used 3/4 inch plywood with L-brackets at every joint. Maybe it's just me but that kept my loft bed solid for two years.
