Had to choose between two 1979 microwave manuals, picked wrong and burned a casserole for 6 hours
I could only keep one of my late uncle's manuals, the Sharp R-6300 or the Panasonic NE-7900, and the Sharp's power level chart looked clearer so I scrapped the Panasonic, but it turns out that chart was for defrost mode and now I'm scraping a charred mess off the rack at 9pm, has anyone else trusted a glossy page and paid the price in ruined dinner?
Kept the wrong manual? No, the real mistake was tossing the Panasonic one when your uncle clearly kept both for a reason. Two manuals from the same year means he probably used each machine for different jobs, and the NE-7900 chart might have been the one with the actual cook settings you needed. A defrost chart is labeled defrost right there on the page, so the info was sitting in front of you either way. Blaming a glossy page for six hours of charcoal is like blaming the map when you drive into a lake.
