The grounding wire on my old table shorts out at 60Hz hum
My Kenwood from the 80s started buzzing loud last month no matter what I tried. Turns out the bare copper wire from the tonearm base was touching the plinth metal during warmer days. I slipped a tiny rubber grommet around it, and the noise is gone. Has anyone else had a grounding issue come back after years of no problems?
