Observing that yoga flows have turned into a spectator sport, and I'm not here for the highlights reel.

Those yoga highlights serve a purpose beyond spectacle. For many, seeing advanced flows demystifies difficult poses and provides a roadmap for improvement. Quality recordings with multiple angles offer correction tips that in-person classes sometimes miss. If it gets people on the mat, the performance aspect is a net positive.

Advanced yoga clips often skip the foundational steps. Beginners watching handstand transitions might not see the years of shoulder stabilization work required. Those multiple angles rarely show the micro-adjustments a teacher makes in real time. People copy the pose but miss the engagement, leading to strained wrists or backs. The performance can inspire, but without context, it's just entertainment. I've seen too many students hurt themselves trying to replicate Instagram flows without understanding progression.

What if people just like watching skilled movement? Sometimes a spectacle is fine on its own.

Watch these highlight reels and you'd think yoga is just about photogenic poses. @henry101 nailed the missing progression, but context doesn't get likes. Now we're all just spectators at a flexibility circus.
