AI writing tool or my own dumb brain? I picked wrong
Last week I had to write 50 product descriptions for my side gig. Two options. Use an AI generator or just write them myself with coffee. I picked the AI tool because it promised 10 minute work. Took me 4 hours fixing nonsense like "this widget revolutionizes your day" for a plain screwdriver. My own brain would have done it in 3 hours tops. Anyone else find AI tools just create more work sometimes?

Read somewhere that AI descriptions are usually just keyword soup without a real human touch.

Wait but didn't the AI tool take you 4 hours because you were trying to fix its bad output? My thing is if you had just written them from scratch you'd have been done in 3 hours, so you actually wasted an extra hour plus the frustration. The "10 minute work" promise is total bs unless you really don't care about quality. I tried an AI tool for some blog posts once and it kept calling a simple garden shovel a "versatile earth moving implement" so I gave up and just wrote them myself.
