Appreciation post: AI mapped my messy workshop layout

My tools were all over the place and I could not work well. I used a free AI tool that looks at room pics and gives layout ideas. It suggested spots for my bench, shelves, and gear based on how I move. Now my space flows better and I get more done. Give it a shot if your area feels jammed.

That bit about the "huge traffic jam" near the miter station is exactly it. I mean, I see this everywhere now, like in my kitchen where I put the trash can in a spot that made me walk across the room ten times while cooking. It's like we're all blind to our own little blockages until something points them out.

That part about "based on how I move" is spot on. My friend, a carpenter, had the same issue in his garage shop with two awkward doorways. He tried one of those layout AIs and it pointed out a huge traffic jam he created near his miter station. Moving his lumber rack cleared up everything.

I should try that AI for my shed. Last week I made a "shortcut" that now blocks the lawnmower completely.
