Can we talk about AI transcription tools?

I used to type up all my meeting notes myself. Thought it was faster. Then a friend sent me a demo of Otter.ai last month. Saw it catch every word in real time. Now I just upload my recordings and get clean text. Anyone else switch from manual typing to an AI tool for this?

Yeah I get what you mean about "catch every word in real time." It's funny how once you let a tool do one boring job you start noticing all the other little things you've been wasting time on. Makes you wonder what else we're stuck doing the hard way.

...and once you give in on one thing it's like a domino effect though @simonbell. I started with Otter for meetings now I'm running everything through some kind of AI filter before I touch it. Like I used to read through my voicemails manually but now I just have a tool spit out the text version and scan it in like 10 seconds. The crazy part is finding out how much time I was wasting on stuff I didn't even realize was a chore... like sorting through old emails or jotting down recipe adjustments at work. It's not even about being lazy it's just realizing you've been doing things the long way for no good reason at all.
