Can we talk about how long it took me to figure out that AI transcription tool?

I spent like 45 minutes trying to clean up a recorded meeting from last week. The AI tool kept putting periods in the middle of sentences and missing half of what my coworker said. Turns out I had the audio source set to "phone" instead of "conference room" the whole time. Has anyone else had that issue with the wrong preset messing up their transcriptions?

Switched to "conference room" preset after the same problem @juliaa25. Double check your audio input too. Make sure it's not picking up from your laptop mic by accident. That fixed the weird punctuation and missing chunks for me.

45 minutes because of a wrong preset? That's brutal, I'd lose my mind.

I mean, 45 minutes is annoying sure, but people act like it's the end of the world. You just re-record a meeting or better yet, you take notes next time. Half the time I zone out during long meetings anyway so a bad transcript just saves me from having to listen to the whole thing again. It's not like anyone actually reads those things carefully.
