Figured the AI note taker at my clinic was a gimmick until it caught something my resident missed
I sat through 4 demos of ambient AI scribes last year and walked away thinking it was just fancy dictation with a monthly fee. Then our clinic in Boise tried one for 6 weeks and the thing flagged a med interaction on a 78 year old patient that got buried in a 20 minute visit, which my resident had scrolled right past. I am not saying it replaces a clinician, because it definitely wrote some nonsense in a couple charts, but that one catch changed my mind fast. Anyone else seeing these tools actually pull their weight in a real practice, or was our experience just a lucky one?
