Finally realized AI code assistants aren't cheating, they're just faster pair programmers

I spent 6 months refusing to use Copilot at work because I thought it would make me lazy. Then last Tuesday I had to debug a 200 line Python function and my coworker showed me how he uses it to find edge cases in 2 minutes. That's when it clicked - I was treating it like a crutch instead of a tool. Has anyone else gone from hating these things to using them daily for the tedious stuff?

Big brain move right there, took you 6 months to see what the rest of us already knew. I spent a whole week bashing Copilot on Reddit then downloaded it the next day. Now I just let it write all my boilerplate while I pretend to think about architecture. Honestly helps me cut through the boring parts so I can focus on the real mess I make.
