My fridge's AI flagged the milk before I poured it. Now I'm all in on smart kitchen tech.

Bought a smart fridge with an AI inventory system last month. It scans items with a little camera. Sent me a push notification about the milk carton. Said it was past its prime. I opened it up, smelled sour. That AI just saved my cereal. Makes me think about how these tools could slash grocery bills. What other food related AI gadgets are actually useful? Not just gimmicks.

Had a similar close call with yogurt last week, so I get the relief. That kind of proactive alert is where smart kitchen tech actually earns its keep. Makes you wonder what other mundane disasters we're passively avoiding.

Ngl, that's handy but the camera scanning still feels kinda extra to me. The real win is the database knowing expiry dates from your grocery receipts.

Lowkey disagree about the camera being extra though. Scanning medicine bottles with tiny expiry dates is where it saves me, or random pantry stuff that got shoved behind other things. The receipt method falls apart the second you buy something not on a grocery run. Having both systems working together is what actually makes the kitchen feel future proof, imo.
