Pro tip: I used to hate AI writing tools until last Tuesday changed my mind

I was always that person rolling my eyes at AI writing stuff, thinking it was all garbage. Last Tuesday my boss dumped a 50 page report on my desk due by Friday and I was drowning. I tried Claude just to see what it could do with some rough notes I had from a client meeting. It pulled out the main points and even caught a trend I missed, so I actually finished the thing in two days. Now I use it for drafts but still rewrite everything, has anyone else found a middle ground that works?

Middle ground is hard to find... I just use it for outlines now.

read a study somewhere that said people actually write better after using AI tools because it gets past the blank page problem. i tried that with my weekly blog posts and it mostly works. i feed it bullet points, let it crank out a first draft, then i go through and cut all the fluff and add my own voice. takes about half the time now but still feels like mine when i'm done. your mileage may vary on that though.
