TIL the difference between a local AI model and a cloud one is way bigger than I thought
I had to choose between running a small language model on my laptop for privacy or using a cloud service for speed, and I picked the local one. It's slower but now I don't worry about my data being scraped... has anyone else made that tradeoff and regretted it?

“Data being scraped” woah wait, people are actually scraping cloud AI stuff? I just figured it was like, saved to improve the model, didn’t realize it could be straight up stolen.
