Am I the only one who skips preheating the air fryer on purpose?
At my buddy Lou's place in Austin last weekend, he swore preheating is a must and called me lazy for not doing it. I've run mine cold for 2 years now, and honestly, chicken thighs and frozen fries come out just as crispy, maybe 4 minutes slower at most. The manual says preheat for even cooking, but my kitchen's 78 degrees in Texas summer, so the chamber gets there fast enough. Anyone else ditch that step and notice zero difference, or am I just used to chewy edges?

Lou called you lazy for skipping preheat? Next he'll tell me I gotta warm up the toaster before I burn bread. I've skipped it for years and my fries come out fine, just like you said. Maybe we're both just used to "chewy edges" and that's the Texan way.
