Basket vs rack insert, my brother's Omaha dinner changed my mind
So my brother got one of those air fryers with the rack inserts for Christmas and invited me over for a chicken dinner last month in Omaha. He did wings on the rack and they came out crispy on both sides without flipping. Meanwhile I've been using the basket for 2 years and I flip everything halfway or the bottom side gets soggy. He says he never flips anything now. But I got a worry that the rack means less space and drippings just burn on the heating element. Is it worth switching or am I just stuck in my ways? For those that tried both, does the rack actually beat the basket or is it all hype?

Drippings burning on the element is real, but the crispy skin excuse is worth the smoke.
