Bought a $40 air fryer cookbook and half the recipes want me to preheat a separate oven
I picked up this air fryer cookbook at a Barnes and Noble in Sacramento a couple weeks back because it had a nice cover and promised 150 recipes. Got it home, started flipping through, and a bunch of them tell you to par-cook stuff in the regular oven first or finish things under the broiler. What is the point of that. I paid $40 for a book that treats the air fryer like a second string appliance. There's a whole section on wings that says bake at 400 in the oven for 20 minutes then crisp in the air fryer, which defeats the entire reason I bought the thing. I tried the lemon chicken recipe anyway and it came out fine but I used two appliances for one dinner. I'm out 40 bucks and now the book is a coaster. Did I just get unlucky with this one or are most air fryer cookbooks like this?
