Had a total fail with frozen chicken wings last night

I tried cooking some frozen wings straight from the bag at 400 for 25 minutes like the bag said and they came out rubbery on the outside and cold in the middle. Then I remembered a tip from a guy at the BBQ festival in Kansas City who said to do 10 minutes at 360 first to thaw them out then crank it to 400 for another 15. Night and day difference. Anyone else have a go-to method for frozen wings that actually works?

Oh man, that is classic bag of lies right there. My experience is those package instructions are written by someone who never actually eats the food. Glad you found the BBQ guy's trick, that's a solid workaround.

I remember one time I was cooking a frozen pizza and the box said 15 minutes at 400. I put it in and it came out still cold in the middle. Meanwhile my buddy told me to try 425 for 12 minutes and then rotate it. Worked perfect. It's like everything these days has hidden fine print. Even the weather app says 30% chance of rain and then it pours all day. Idk, people just seem to put the bare minimum into telling you how stuff actually works. You gotta dig through forums or find someone who's been burned before to get the real scoop.
