Hot take: I used to think frozen french fries were fine, but doing them from scratch in the air fryer is a whole different world.

My cousin got an air fryer last Christmas and swore by it. She made me try her homemade sweet potato fries with some weird paprika mix. The outside was so crisp but the inside stayed soft, nothing like the bagged ones I usually burn. I still use the frozen kind on busy nights because let's be real. But now I get why people bother cutting up all those potatoes.

Wait, what's the secret to getting them crispy? @noah_barnes I tried russets in mine and they were kinda soggy. Maybe I crowded the basket too much. I mean, I want that perfect fry without having to go out. It feels like it should be easy but I mess it up every time.
