Hot take: I was wrong about air fryer chicken wings (my friend called me out)
My buddy from Buffalo came over and saw me just tossing frozen wings straight into the basket. He straight up said, 'You're making hockey pucks, man.' He told me to boil them for 7 minutes first (with some vinegar in the water) to render the fat, then pat them dry and air fry. I tried it last night and the skin was actually crispy, not chewy. Has anyone else got a weird pre-cook step that actually works?

Feel your pain, I did the same thing for months. That boiling trick sounds wild but I guess it works. What temp and time did you use in the fryer after that?

Oh man, I saw a whole thread about this once. They said to boil for about ten minutes until the fries are just starting to get soft. Then you dry them really well and fry at 375 for a few minutes until they're golden and crispy.
