My 2018 air fryer chicken wings were always soggy, now they're perfect

Back then I'd just toss them in sauce and cook, and they'd come out a wet mess. The game changer was patting the wings totally dry and using a tablespoon of cornstarch before air frying at 400 for 24 minutes, flipping halfway. It gives that crispy skin I could never get before. Anyone else have a simple trick that fixed a basic recipe for them?

My buddy swore by cornstarch too, but @andrew916 convinced him to try baking powder and now he's a total convert.

Did you try baking powder instead of cornstarch for extra crisp?
