My air fryer chicken wings turned into a smoky mess last night
I was in my kitchen in Austin and the fat from a full pound of wings dripped down and started smoking after 15 minutes. Has anyone found a good drip tray hack for wings?

Try a layer of foil under the rack?

The foil trick works but you have to be careful with airflow. My oven manual actually says not to line the bottom with foil because it can block vents. I put a sheet pan on the rack below instead to catch drips. It does the same job without messing up the oven's heat flow. Honestly, I learned that the hard way after my last oven repair bill.

Try a layer of foil" is the kind of simple hack @river_bailey2 suggests that actually works. It catches all the drips so you don't have to scrub the pan later. My oven thanks you for saving it from another burnt-on mess.
