Pro tip: I finally got my chicken thighs crispy on the outside without drying them out

I saw someone in a comment thread say to preheat your air fryer for a full 5 minutes before adding the food. I always just tossed stuff in cold before. Yesterday I tried it with bone-in thighs at 380 for 18 minutes and they came out perfect - golden brown skin and still juicy inside. Has anyone else noticed a big difference with preheating or is it just me?

Yeah 380 is a little high for bone-in thighs honestly. I do mine at 360 for 20 minutes and they're way juicier. Preheating helps but temp matters more.

What temp do you usually run for boneless thighs?
