PSA: putting frozen chicken thighs straight in the air fryer at 400 for 20 min left them raw in the middle
I pulled two thighs out at 400 degrees for 20 minutes and the outside looked great but the inside was still pink and cold at the bone. My thermometer read 128 in the middle, so now I do 360 for 12 min, flip, then 400 for 6 to crisp the skin. Has anyone found a temp and time that actually cooks frozen thighs all the way through?
Been there with the pink-at-the-bone thing and it's so annoying when the outside looks perfect. Frozen thighs are tricky because the bone acts like a little ice pack and keeps the middle cold way longer than you'd expect. Your 360 then 400 trick sounds smart, I might steal it for next time.
