Rant: my air fryer basket is too small for a whole chicken and I'm done pretending otherwise

I got the 5.8 quart at Target last month and tried a 4 lb bird, it barely fit and the skin came out rubbery in spots. Am I the only one who thinks the whole air fryer chicken trend is just people lying to themselves about texture? What size are you all using for something that actually works?

Honestly, you might be fighting the wrong battle. The real trick is spatchcocking the bird, cutting out the backbone so it lays flat, and then the 5.8 quart becomes plenty for a 4 pounder. Skin gets crispy all over because it's not jammed against the basket walls, and you get way more even heat.
