Small win: Air fryer made my healthy eating actually enjoyable
I used to dread cooking because it felt like a chore. My diet always failed when I got lazy with meals. Last week, I tried air frying some salmon and broccoli. It was ready in minutes and tasted amazing. Now I look forward to making dinner every night.

I read that air fryers can use up to 80% less oil than regular ovens, which is huge for heart health. Your salmon and broccoli meal is a perfect example of getting that crispy texture without all the grease. What most folks don't consider is how the speed stops you from snacking on junk while waiting for dinner. When food is done in like 10 minutes, you avoid grabbing chips or cookies out of boredom. That quick turnaround actually helps break the habit of unhealthy pre-meal eating. It turns cooking from a slow chore into a fast win for your diet.

Yeah the speed thing is a real game changer. I saw a study that said just having to wait more than 20 minutes for food makes people way more likely to eat something unhealthy first, which totally lines up with what @derek_dixon78 said about not even opening the snack drawer. My old oven took forever to preheat, so I'd always end up munching on cheese and crackers while I waited. Now with the air fryer, I just toss in some chicken strips and frozen veggies, and by the time I've set the table, dinner's ready. It cuts out that whole dangerous waiting period.

You mentioned the speed stopping snacking, and that's so true for me. My air fryer gets food ready so fast I don't even open the snack drawer anymore.
