TIL my air fryer was 20 degrees off for the whole 6 months I've owned it
Bought a cheap oven thermometer after a batch of chicken came out raw on the inside and burnt on the outside, and it took me 3 separate cooks to confirm the temp display was lying the whole time, has anyone else had their fryer run way hotter or colder than what it says?

My air fryer runs 30 degrees hot so I just aim for medium rare and hope for the best.

Read a temp probe is the way to go with air fryers since they're all a bit wild with their actual temps. I saw someone test theirs with an oven thermometer and it was off by 40 degrees, so yours is actually pretty normal. Getting one of those cheap probe thermometers makes dialing in the right doneness way easier than guessing.
