Turns out I was totally wrong about frozen veggies in the air fryer

I always thought frozen broccoli would just turn into a soggy mess in there. But I saw a post from someone saying to toss them in oil and seasoning straight from frozen. Tried it with a bag of frozen cauliflower at 400F for 12 minutes and it came out crispy on the edges. Has anyone else had good luck with other frozen stuff like green beans or brussels sprouts?

Toss them in oil and seasoning straight from frozen" - more like toss them in oil and hope the air fryer doesn't start a smoke show in your kitchen, right? Mine went full fog machine mode. At least the cauliflower didn't end up tasting like a sad wet sponge though.

Oh man, my buddy Dave tried that exact thing last week with frozen green beans. He cranked the air fryer to 400 and walked away for like ten minutes. Next thing I knew he texted me a picture of his kitchen looking like a haunted house with all this white smoke pouring out. Said his smoke detector went off and his cat hid under the couch for an hour. At least the beans turned out decent, but he said his apartment smelled like a burnt oil factory for the rest of the night. You still using your air fryer after that smoke show?
