Warning: I used to drown my fries in oil before the air fryer changed everything

For years, I made frozen fries in a deep pot of oil, which took forever and made my whole apartment in Chicago smell like a diner. After getting an air fryer last Christmas, I just toss them in with a single tablespoon of oil and they come out crispier. I'm never going back to that old messy way, but my brother insists the deep-fried taste is still better. Who's right here, the convenience crew or the traditional flavor fans?

Honestly, my deep fryer phase was a fire hazard waiting to happen... I'm with you on the air fryer, even if @claireg81 might judge my old canola oil choice. The taste difference isn't big enough to deal with that greasy mess anymore.

My Chicago kitchen used to be a grease trap, but @claireg81, the air fryer's crispiness won me over.
