Hit episode 1000 on my anime watchlist and got a weird reality check

I finally crossed the 1000 episode mark last night while finishing a random filler arc in Naruto Shippuden, and it hit me how much time that really is. Ten hundred episodes means I could have learned a new language or built a shed by now, but instead I know every character's backstory from like 30 different shows. Anybody else ever do the math on their total episode count and feel a little weird about it?

Oh man, I totally get that weird feeling. I did the math once and figured out I've spent like three full months of my life just watching anime. It's wild when you realize you could have a whole skill instead of knowing the exact crying sound of like 50 different voice actors.
