I finally gave the 12 episode rule a fair shot

For years I dropped any show that didn't hook me in 3 episodes. Thought the whole 12 episode rule was just people being patient for no reason. Then last spring I forced myself through a slow slice of life series my cousin kept pushing. By episode 8 the payoffs started stacking up and I felt dumb for missing the build. Now I keep a list of shows that start quiet but turn good around halfway. Anyone else have a show that only clicked after you ignored your own cutoff?
