I finally tried watching One Piece with the filler cut out
I used to watch it the normal way, but after 300 episodes I switched to a fan-made list that skips all the filler arcs. The pacing is so much better now, and I'm actually getting through the story. Has anyone else tried this with a different long-running show?

My buddy did that with Naruto. He got so fed up with the endless flashbacks he found a guide online that listed every single canon episode. He said it cut the total watch time in half and the story actually made sense.

My cousin did the same thing with One Piece, skipped all the filler. It's like we're all editing our own movies now just to get to the point.

yeah and honestly it gets worse with shows like one piece cause the filler arcs are sometimes decent but then you got stuff like the davy back fight which is basically a filler arc in the manga too so it's like where do you even draw the line. i remember my buddy tried skipping naruto filler and missed a whole episode that actually had a tiny hint about itachi's past hidden in the middle of a flashback fest. now he uses a spreadsheet with canon episodes color coded and still complains about the pacing.
