PSA: Check the subtitle tracks at your local theater before you buy a ticket for a sub vs dub screening
Went to a Saturday night showing of the Frieren recap movie at the AMC in Sacramento and half the room walked out because the "subbed" screening was actually playing the dub with no subs at all. Staff said the theater got sent the wrong file and they couldn't fix it, so we all sat there for 20 minutes waiting. Has anyone else run into this, and do you just ask at the counter now before buying?
Skipping the counter thing, honestly. Half the time the staff has no clue what file they got anyway, so asking won't save you. Maybe I've just been lucky but I'd rather grab a ticket and see how it plays out than make the line longer lol.
