PSA: I spent 7 weeks trying to figure out why Netflix anime subs were cutting off early on my TV
This happened back in March when I was trying to watch the new season of a show on my living room TV. The subtitles kept getting clipped at the bottom of the screen, like the last line would just vanish before I could read it. I tried everything: different HDMI cables, messing with the TV's picture size settings, even resetting the whole app twice. It turned out the issue was that my streaming device was set to a slightly different aspect ratio than my TV, and one menu buried three levels deep fixed it in about 30 seconds. Has anyone else run into subtitle clipping like this, and did you have to dig through the same kind of settings maze?
