PSA: Stop taking subbed vs dubbed advice from rando Twitter polls
I saw this huge poll on Twitter last month claiming 78% of anime fans prefer subs over dubs. So I forced myself to watch like 15 episodes of Attack on Titan subbed even though it felt like a chore. Ended up hating the show and dropped it completely. Then my buddy Jake at the local comic shop told me to try the dub and just ignore what people say online. I gave it one more shot and binged all 4 seasons in like 2 weeks. The poll was right about general preference but wrong for me personally. Has anyone else let online surveys steer you away from a show that ended up being great with the other audio option?

Subs are objectively better for timing and original voice acting, polls don't change that. You probably just have a bad attention span.

objectively better" is a funny way to describe something completely subjective.

Read a study that said most people actually process subs faster than dubs because your brain doesn't have to match lips to sound, so @jana_davis90's point about timing is pretty solid there.
