Rant: Everyone loves the 90s OVA style, but I think those choppy frames are overrated
I rewatched Cyber City Oedo 808 last week and the animation felt more like a slideshow half the time, even if the aesthetic is cool. Has anyone else found older OVAs just don't hold up action-wise compared to modern stuff like Jujutsu Kaisen?

Wait, you mean the one from the 80s with the terrible animation where people's heads explode like watermelons? That thing was a fever dream. Every punch looked like someone smeared jelly on the screen for half a second. I swear my retinas were bleeding by the time Kenshiro said his first "Omae wa mou shindeiru." Seriously, how did anyone watch that on a CRT TV without getting a headache?
