Rant: The week I tried dubbing over a whole anime episode by myself

Last month I decided to voice every character in a 22-minute episode of an obscure 90s OVA, and by day 3 my throat was shot and I'd only finished the first 5 minutes. On the flip side, the fan response was surprisingly positive and now I'm wondering if it's worth the pain to do another. Anyone else tried something this insane or am I just crazy?

I found it helps to just lean into the awkwardness and make jokes about it as you go lol. My voice was absolutely wrecked after my first open mic, but I just pretended like that was part of the bit. People actually started laughing more once I admitted I was in over my head instead of trying to act cool. You can probably salvage the whole thing by owning how ridiculous it was from the start.
