Spent $60 on a 'must watch' anime list that was just the same shows everyone talks about

Bought a premium guide from a blog last month. It promised hidden gems and a custom list. Got a PDF with about 20 titles. Every single one was a top ten show from the last five years. Stuff like Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen. Felt like I just paid for a Google search. Has anyone found a good source for actual underrated series?
