Switched from binge-watching subbed shows to dubbed ones because my eyes got tired after 8 hours at my desk job

After I started working 10 hour shifts staring at a computer screen, I just couldn't handle reading subtitles for another 3 hours every night, so now I watch everything dubbed and honestly it feels like a whole new hobby, has anyone else made the switch and regretted it or stuck with it?

That's wild you mention fight scenes because I actually had the opposite problem with a show I was watching last week. The dub actors were grunting so hard during a sword fight it sounded like they were at the gym lifting weights, and I couldn't stop laughing through the whole thing. I get what you mean about losing emotion though, I tried watching this one drama dubbed and the main character's voice didn't change at all when she was supposed to be crying, just stayed the same flat tone. But honestly after staring at spreadsheets all day I'll take bad voice acting over burning my retinas any night, my eyes already feel like sandpaper by 7pm.

Man, I actually gotta disagree with you here. For me, dubbed stuff loses all the emotion and timing of the original performances, like you miss half the acting when the voice doesn't match the lips. Sure, my eyes get tired too but I'd rather just watch one episode subbed than zone out to three episodes of flat voice acting. I tried going dubbed on a few action shows and the fight scenes felt weird when the grunts and shouts didn't sync up at all.
