That one comment about pacing ruined my whole rewatch of Bleach
Some dude in a thread pointed out I was skipping the filler arcs and missing the whole point of how the anime breathes between fights. I went back and watched episodes 64 through 108 without skipping anything and honestly, the pacing still drags like a snail in winter. Has anyone actually sat through the Bount arc without falling asleep at episode 12?

Did you actually pay attention to the Bount arc or were you just waiting for it to end the whole time? Because I tried watching it properly with an open mind and still felt like half the episodes could've been cut without losing anything important. The problem isn't the breathing room between fights, it's that the show repeats the same character drama over and over without moving the plot forward at all.

Tbh I read somewhere that the Bount arc was originally supposed to be way shorter but they stretched it because the manga wasn't far enough ahead yet. That kinda explains why it feels like a padded filler episode marathon.
